Info Mazda : Mazda up 17.7%, 4 models post record Nov. sales

USA, Mazda today reported November sales up 17.7% to 21,691 vehicles, and said that four models, including its Mazda3 best-seller, posted record sales for the month.

Year-to-date sales are 249,795, up 9.1%, the company said.

Besides the Mazda3 compact sedan with sales up 43% to 9,841, other models posting records were the subcompact Mazda2 (2,495), the Mazda5 small van (1,284), and Mazda MX-5 Miata roadster (369).

Mazda said 67% of the Mazda3s sold were models with the new, more efficient Skyactiv engine.

The new CX-5 small crossover continued its strong ramp up with sales of 4,213, making it Mazda's No. 2 seller.

The Mazda6 mid-sze is in transition -- production of the old model has stopped and the redesigned 2014 model, shown last week at the L.A. Auto Show, goes on sale in January.
